How it Works

When I was in the Navy, I learned about the K.I.S.S. principle. KISS is an acronym for Keep It Simple, Stupid. The concept is that most systems work best of they are kept simple rather than made complicated. I only work with companies that need and  recognize the value of having me as Your Computer Guy. I bill you for one hour of my time at the beginning of each month.  This is a recurring charge to your credit card through Paypal. You don’t need to have a Paypal account, although I do recommend it. You call me whenever you have a question, issue or concern. I deduct the time I spend from your 60 minutes. If you need additional time, I will bill you for it at the same low rate, in 15 minute increments.

What if I don't use my 60 minutes?

You can roll over your time for 2 months, up to a total balance of 180 minutes. This way you can bank some time for a project or more involved task. Once you reach 180 minutes, the first 60 minutes is lost when the new hour is billed. In other words, use it or lose it. Frankly, if you aren’t using one hour of my time per month, you either:

  • aren’t calling me and trying to take care of things yourself
  • or you simply don’t need much in the way of technology support. 

So either call me and use your time or stop paying me for support you don’t need.

Why is your hourly rate so high?

Actually, my rate is low for someone with my training, knowledge and experience. Larger companies charge $150 – $250 per hour for someone with my skill sets and abilities. Yes, you can find technicians who charge less, but you get what you pay for. As the saying goes, the oats are always cheaper if you don’t mind that they’ve been through the horse once. 

You seem to be different than other computer companies.

Thanks for noticing! That’s because who I am and what I offer IS different from those other companies. I don’t have a large staff or a lot of overhead. I work out of my house and outsource to other companies when appropriate. I’m a great choice for companies who want an expert to keep their technology running simply and inexpensively. 

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time and for any reason. There is no contract, no penalties, no early termination fees. I don’t believe in holding customers hostage. If you choose not to do business with me, I respect your decision and wish you only the best. 

What specifically do you or don't you work on?

I was serious when I said call me about anything and everything technology related. This is what I do and I’m really good at it. If you ask me about something which I am not familiar with, I will research it and get you an answer. Then I will explain it so you can understand it. 

Why should I trust you?

Oooooo, good question! I get it, saying “Trust me” can seem kind of creepy and tends to make people not trust you. I understand that trust is given only after it’s earned. It’s like a Catch-22,  I can’t earn your trust until you hire me, yet hiring me requires trust in your part. To support you in your decision, I’ve included testimonials from customers that have worked with me for a long time and trust me. I also have no other agenda than looking out for you. That’s what I’m selling, not hardware or software or any other service. Finally, your initial investment is minimal, only 1 hour of my time. If you’re happy with the results I generate for you, we move forward. If not, you move on. So there really isn’t a lot of risk on your part. And we get to build trust over time based on results.
